CyberDiet
- Cyberdiet is the product of dietitian Timi Gustafson and her collaborator Cynthia Finks. It is a very well thought out, graphically innovative and engaging resource with a focus on Java-based food and diet calculators.
These include:

For the lay visitor, a wealth of food data. For the health professional, some useful tools to illustrate diet planning.

Morfin-Guevara is a dietetic student who has set up a site to encourage participation from others to put up: "stories, columns and issues of interest for:
Nutrition Professionals, Students and People interested in Nutrition and Health."
This is also part of the Clinical Nutrition On-line group, which he refers to as being "an independent body run solely on a nonprofit basis by interested Dietetic Professionals and Students from many Countries."

American Dietetic Association
- Because of its position as America's foremost dietitian's
organisation, but also because of the effort they have put into this
site, the ADA's web presence is surely one of the major nutrition web
sites internationally. There is much invaluable material here, including:
- Information about the ADA, its sections and affiliated organisations
- Its journal Journal of the American Dietetics Association
- Press releases, position statements and updates on legislative lobbying
- Lay nutrition education material
- Searchable index of registered dietitians.
- Comprehensive list os ADA accredited deitetic training programs

- There are a number of these, some being listed only on the
ADA's own web site. Those that have their own (with brief highlight description)

Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Credentialling agency for ADA, the web site has information
on certification, and searchable database of dietetics continuing professional
education activities.

Dietetic Association
- Still in its early stages, this site has, apart from the
expected information about the organisation, news stories on the latest nutrition
controversies, short cooking and food tips, a brief description of what a
dietitian does, links (so far only one!!) and a form for the publc to send
in an information request. There is also a dietitian members only section
with list of CDA professional resources and news releases. If consistently
developed, this new site has the potential to become an important addition
to the list of on-line nutrition resources.

- "Canadian Foundation for Dietetic Research was established
in 1991 to support and challenge dietitians to include research in their everyday
practice." Brief statement of purpose and research focus on this web page
which is part of the Dietitians of Canada web site.

- Very well constructed site with information on the organisation
and its members, how to find a dietitian in Canada, lay recipe and nutrition

- These are nutritionists involved in research at Registered
Dietitians who direct the Bionutrition research services at the General Clinical
Research Centers. Web site has information on who they are and the projects
they are working on, links, a manual etc.

List of Dietitians Associations
This comes from the International Confederation of Dietitic
Associations web site and is actually a list of their members. But it serves
as a good a list of dietitians organisations as you are likely to get on the
Internet. Has contact address and phone numbers, and email plus web site details
where available. Also in some cases states the number of dietitian members,
which is interesting comparative data.

European Federation of the Associations of Dietitians
Information about the dietetic profession in Europe, member
organisations (including the number of dietitian members), networking and some
web links.

Australian Nutrition Foundation
- Colourful well produced site on Australia's leading nutrition
education organisation. The web site has news, the latest newsletter (nicely
illustrated), organisational information and catalogue of pamphlets (but
no content on-line).

British Dietetic Association
- Dietietic research database, information on the Association
and its activities, good set of nutrition and industry links, education
and training, position papers and resources for its members.
Dietitians Association of Australia
- Professional material for its members, (including news on
current issues of interest) help to find a dietitian for others, information
on events and publications, including its newsletter and academic journal
Australian Journal of Nutrition and Dietetics.
There is a site search engine. There is also an alternative
web address.

- De Digitale Diëtist as it is called in Dutch (in which language
the entire site is written) is their home page, but most of it is currently
under construction as of 4/97. There is information on the Assocation, list
of nutrition related meetings in Europe, discussion of the dietitian's role
in general terms, some lay nutrition information.

- The home page has some English content, but the rest of
it seems to be entirely in Finnish language.

Allan Borushek's HealthLine
- Australian dietitian who has authored some popular lay nutrition
guides. The site has a moderate range of lay nutrition information, including
BMI calculator and some recipes, as well as promotion for the books.

All About Nutrition: Kim Keith
- Kim Keith is a dietitian who has gone to theh trouble of
putting up this site with some nutrition links, list of reading material
(mainly lay oriented) and an occasional article on a nutrition topic of
interest.

CYC's Nutrition in Southern Illinois Homepage
- Dietitian Cynthia York-Camden's web site is good, with lots
of links mainly for resources of relevance to dietitians. The links come
in two flavours: her private bookmark file (annotated) and a public viewing
section (not annotated). She also provides information for the local Illinois
dietetians Association.

A Dietitian's Cancer Story: Information and Inspiration for Recovery and
Healing from a 3-Time Cancer Survivor
- Dietitian Diana Dyer tells her own story with cancer, offers
recipes and some useful general cancer links, particularly related to alternative
methods. The site also provides ordering information about a book she has
written.

Dietsite.com
- Amibitious dietitian's web site from Traci Kaufman, offering
lay information on diets and diet analysis. There are sections on sports
nutrition, alternative medicine, diet and recipe analysis. It is not always
clear what the authority is for the information provided, apart from the
author's own.

Foodwatch
- Lay nutrition site from popular Australian dietitian Catherine
Saxelby. It has some general nutrition articles, a BMI calculator (metric
units), information about her books and other people's books and food products,
a 20 question health eating quiz (scored via interactive script) and some
information on food labelling.
Nutrition You Can Live With
- Formerly known as " Ask an RD", this site is authored by
Kathrynne Holden, a dietitian specializing in the nutrition for Parkinson's
disease. It contains downloadable articles, and promotes her books, seminars,
and manuals.
