American Dietietic Association: Child Nutrition and Health Program
Lots of colourful resources in this section of the ADA's web site. These include a Food Pyramid for Children, games to play. There are associated press statements and kits, as well as resources for health professionals.

Canada's Food Guide to Healthy Eating for preschoolers: Background for Educators and Communicators
A series of fact sheets that provides background information for nutrition professionals, health educators, home economists and others involved in promoting healthy eating.
Child and Family Canada - Nutrition
A non-profit collaboration of 33 non-profit organizations "committed to the health and well-being of children and their families", the site includes a nutrition section with lay information on subjects such as healthy eating, folic acid, hunger in the classroom, and low income nutritional issues, many of which come from the Canadian National Insitute of Nutrition

An organic baby food manufacturer in Colorado supplies this service to ask questions of a nutritionist (name and credentials not specified) and this web page has a very long set of past answers on-line. The answers seem eminently sensible and balanced.
FDA/CFSAN Good Nutrition for the Highchair Set

Kids Food CyberClub
Kids Food Cyberclub is put together by the Connecticut Association for Human Services (with funding from Kaiser Permanente). It has sections for teachers, children and parents on health eating.

The La Leche League International is "an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed." This site has information on the organisation and local chapters, FAQs, and a search engine.

Nutrition for Children: Connie Evers
Connie Evers is a dietitian who specialises in teaching nutrition to kids. This web site offers some weekly tips and a newsletter with some material of interest to those who teach children nutrition, and there is a free email version. There is an "Ask Connie" section, but this simply allows you to send the author an email. The rest of the site is mainly a calling card for the author's book and related PR activites.

Lay information on nutrition in the various age groups from birth to teenagers.
Tiny Tummies Online
This is the web page for a printed newsletter put out by a dietitian. Its stated purpose is "a monthly food and nutrition newsletter for families that makes feeding children easy and fun." The site has a nice colourful home page and some substantive material, as well as a chance to send in questions to the editor, a table of contents from the latest issues etc. However, mostly the material is about the contents of the newsletter rather than the contents themselves.

Food For Health
Commercial newsletter with nutrition education ideas and resources, particularly focussed on food and recipes. The web site has some content from the newsletter, and urls linking to useful sites related to each month's content.
HealthAnswers: Nutrition
Part of a commercial lay `virtual health centre'. The approach is to showcase material provided by "content partners". In this case it means lay information on nutrition and health from sponsor Ross Laboratories, news from Reuters Health and their own resources.

This web site purports to offer a company view on the nutritional issues involved in McDonald's products, although this does not necessarily come from the company itself. The site includes a comparative nutrient analysis table at focused on macronutrients.
